New Dri-Eaz Dragon Adds Heat, Not Moisture

BURLINGTON, Washington – August 1, 2002 – Dri-Eaz has just announced the upcoming release of their newest specialty tool for restorative drying: the Dragon K85 Mobile Furnace. The Dragon introduces heat to any water-damaged area without any added moisture or fumes. This clean heat from the Dragon helps restoration professionals speed up drying times for water damage in unheated spaces and entire structures.

Clean Heat for Drying
The Dragon uses an indirect fired heat exchanger to provide its clean heat for drying. Because the process air never touches a heating element, the Dragon can produce an 81-degree temperature increase without adding moisture or fumes—unlike a propane or kerosene heater. This makes the Dragon ideal for restorative drying applications.

Shorter Drying Times
"We were able to significantly reduce the drying times in our flood house by adding dry heat to the crawlspace. And the ducting allows a restorer to access almost any hard-to-reach area," said Bill Bruders, Sales Manager for Dri-Eaz. He added, "The Dragon K85 is really an essential addition to any restorer's fleet."

Hot Features
The Dragon has a long list of hot features, including dual air exhaust for supplying heat to two rooms at once; energy-conscious operation with a 91 percent efficiency rating; a powerful rated heat output of 85,000 BTUs/hour; and a remote thermostat for maintaining optimum temperature. It also has a 9.3-gallon internal fuel tank, an external fuel pump for operation with an additional fuel tank, and handles and wheels for maximum maneuverability. As a final bonus, the Dragon will double as a ventilator when you turn off the heating element and use just the fan.

Available Soon
Dri-Eaz anticipates that the Dragon will be available for purchase in September of 2002 through authorized Dri-Eaz Sales Partners/Distributors.
