Dri-Eaz Unveils DefendAir EX at ASCR Show
New Air Scrubber Slated for Late Spring Release
PALM SPRINGS, California February 16, 2002 Dri-Eaz Products, Inc. provided restoration industry professionals with a sneak peak at their highly anticipated HEPA air scrubber this week during the 57th Annual ASCR Convention in Palm Springs. The new DefendAir EX will be available through distributors in late spring according to company officials.
Built with customer input
"This is one of the best restoration products we've ever produced," said John Ridewood, Product Manager for Dri-Eaz. "We asked a lot of questions through the design process about what restorers needed in an air scrubber. We did a lot of listening to our customers. Every feature of the unit is in direct response to their needs."
Packed with features
Chief among the DefendAir's features are HEPA efficiency, light use weight and variable CFM operation. The HEPA filter is 99.97% efficient at trapping particles as small as 0.3 microns. At only 49 pounds, it can be easily transported by one person. The DefendAir can also be set to process anywhere from 100 to 765 cubic feet per minute (CFM). This allows an operator to maintain the integrity of a containment barrier during mold remediation. A rugged ABS housing adds to its appeal; it resists dents and scratches and won't gouge walls.
ASCR Show Standout
Dri-Eaz displayed the new DefendAir in their tradeshow booth next to a number of other products, including the recently released DrizAir LGR 2000 and the prototype Dragon Portable Furnace. Many conference attendees cited growing public concern over mold issues and indoor air quality as the primary reasons for their interest in the DefendAir.
