Dri-Eaz and GE Protimeter introduce new Surveymaster model with easier-to-use design
Burlington, WASHINGTON - Dec. 8, 2003 - Dri-Eaz Products, Inc. has introduced a new model of the popular GE Protimeter Surveymaster that features an ergonomic design and more detailed moisture reading display, plus the same reliability and 2-in-1 moisture measurement function as the previous model.
"The new Surveymaster offers restorers the same industry standard in moisture measurement, plus new features to make it extremely functional on the job," said John Ormsby, Director of Customer Relations for Dri-Eaz. "The Surveymaster is the perfect tool for water damage restoration professionals who need quick, accurate moisture readings to ensure drying progress."
Designed for User Ease & Versatility
Incredibly compact and lightweight, the new Surveymaster is designed ergonomically, with user needs in mind. A dual display now offers color-coded readings on an LCD scale and numerical measurements on a clear LED screen - for both search (pinless) and measure (pin) functions. An audible alarm indicates varying levels of moisture, enabling the user to quickly gauge dampness. The Surveymaster includes several other practical features, including an adjustable automatic shut-off after 1 to 3 minutes, and a "Calcheck" quick calibration check device.
2 Meters in 1
The Surveymaster simplifies moisture measurement for water damage restoration into two operational functions - search (pinless) and measure (pins). It helps users distinguish sub-surface from surface dampness, essential information when diagnosing the extent and cause of a moisture problem. The search (pinless) mode uses radio frequency to detect moisture up to ¾" below the surface of most wall and floor coverings, independent of surface conditions. The dual-pin measure mode uses electrical conductance principles to detect whether a surface is in a safe, borderline, or damp condition.
The Surveymaster is ideal for detecting and assessing moisture in both walls and floors, within a wide range of building materials. Restorers have the versatility of using the integral pin and pinless modes, a heavy duty pin extension lead (ideal for awkward corners), deep wall probes, or an optional hammer electrode.
"We have had huge success over the years with the Surveymaster SM and this new model indicates our commitment to continual product improvement," said Chris Ranwell, GE Protimeter Sales Manager. "This new model gives the operator more information in a small, neat package."
