Dri-Eaz Press Release
Dri-Eaz Guide to Air Scrubbing Now Available
BURLINGTON, WA - September 15, 2003 - Dri-Eaz Products, Ltd., now offers the Dri-Eaz Guide to Air Scrubbing, the first publication of its kind. With the increasing industry attention recently given to indoor air quality, Dri-Eaz wanted to help restoration professionals better understand the use and applications of an air scrubber. In a concise and easily readable format, the Dri-Eaz Guide to Air Scrubbing covers a broad range of topics from how an air scrubber works to exposing popular myths about HEPA filters.
The product of collaboration
In order to create the Guide to Air Scrubbing, Dri-Eaz drew upon its broad base of resources both inside and outside the industry. The end result is a product that's informative, accurate and easy to understand.
Core concepts
The guide addresses core concepts vital to understanding how to use an air scrubber. For example, it explains the difference between an air scrubber and a negative air machine. These are two very different applications, but it is possible for one machine to function in both ways.
The guide clarifies that in order for an air scrubber to also function as a negative air machine, additional features are necessary for use with containment. These features include: ductable in and ductable out for versatility; sealed housing; variable speed operation; and a blower motor that's powerful enough to provide the necessary static pressure to maintain negative air pressure during containment.
It's all in the air
The Dri-Eaz Guide to Air Scrubbing also tackles more in-depth topics like air exchanges per hour (AEH). It even details how to calculate the cubic feet per minute (CFM) needed to achieve the desired AEH. Dri-Eaz emphasizes the value of using an air scrubber by educating restoration professionals about the particulate and gaseous pollutants most commonly found in the air. The process of restoration, which employs large amounts of air movement to lift moisture, infuses the air with normally dormant particles. The types and quantities of particles are significant enough to warrant concern. There are both legal and health reasons that make using an air scrubber on every water damage job prudent.
